I take many typing test and get my result in wpm but... how is that measured exactly?

To calculate words per minute reading fluency you have to divide total characters typed / word

In this case a word would be 5 characters (we just use the average)

Yep tests are very different. They are usually simple words with no meaning, but that's not real world at all, so hard to measure!
